Presley's underwear may fetch 10,000 pounds

 Elvis Presley’s dance briefs - unwashed and still soiled with stains - are expected to fetch up to 10,000 pounds when they go under the hammer at an auction in Britain’s Stockport town next month.

The ‘King of Rock and Roll’ wore the pair of light-blue dance briefs beneath one of his famous white jumpsuit’s during a performance in 1977.

Elvis did not want any lines visible while he was on stage wearing his vast array of dazzling jumpsuits and this pair of underpants was obtained from the estate of Vernon Presley, Elvis’ father, The Independent newspaper reported today.

Fans across globe

Presley died 35 years ago this month and there is expected to be a lot of interest from his fans from across the globe.

Other items up for sale include his personal Holy Bible, which is expected to raise up to 25,000 pounds. Also on sale is 16mm film footage taken from Priscilla Presley’s own personal home movies of Elvis, especially of vacations and their daughter Lisa growing up.

It also includes footage of their wedding and the very first time Elvis and Priscilla brought their daughter home to Graceland from the hospital, Christmas inside Graceland and other special family moments.
