<p>An ex-serviceman was killed after a car knocked him down while he was returning home after walking, at Mallambatti in Virajpet on Saturday. </p>.<p class="bodytext">According to the police, the deceased is Ayyamanda Ravi (49). He used to take a morning walk daily to get a newspaper from a shop. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Post the accident, the villagers nearby took the car driver to task and damaged the car by toppling it.
