The national council of Aam Aadmi  Party (AAP) which is in the process of finalising its agenda for the 2014 elections met here for two days till Sunday late evening to discuss several issues.

The party is likely to revive some of the “lost agenda” of Indian democracy specially related to decentralisation of power at all levels. All party leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Prashant Bhushan  Manish Sisodia, Yogendra Yadav and Ajit Jha, attended the meeting.

The decentralisation of power, which had been a catch word for Gandhians and socialists till late seventies, suddenly disappeared in later era. Though panchayats were given powers, power remained centralised. With this in view,  party is working on a policy  which should bring a new form of decentralised governance.
