<p>New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said that former prime minister PV Narasimha Rao was a true son of India, and a scholar who knew 17 languages, while today we are discussing about speaking in Hindi. </p><p>Naidu was speaking at the PM Museum in the capital at a function to commemorate the former PM's life. </p><p>“He was a Bharat Ratna, a true son of India. He was a student leader, a freedom fighter and a scholar who knew 17 languages… and here we’re discussing about talking in Hindi,” Naidu said, taking a swipe at the linguistic conflict going on in Maharashtra, ruled by its ally BJP. </p><p>Naidu said that Rao came to the help at a time when both Russia and China were making big economic strides. “He came to power at a time when these two governments were making strides in two diverse directions. He took over and opened the economy. It was not easy; he was heading a minority government and yet, bought in bold reforms. Because of his political acumen, he was able to convince all stakeholders,” Naidu said about Rao’s liberalisation policy, adding that we are enjoying the fruits of that labour now. </p>.Congress to reach out to I.N.D.IA. bloc allies to devise a common strategy for Parliament session.<p>He also said that by ending the License Raj, Rao brought an end to the balance of payments crisis. </p><p>Naidu also took the opportunity to make a pitch for his Quantum Valley at Amravati and said that it will be operational by next year. </p><p>The Andhra CM is in the Capital for a series of meetings with several union ministers. A key meeting that he is set to attend on Wednesday is with the union Jal Shakti minister on the Krishna river sharing dispute where Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, too, will attend. </p>
