<p>Following the detection of Ebola virus in the body fluid of a man at Delhi airport, the Union Health Ministry has set up several inspection teams to check within a week if isolation facilities at about 20 international airports are in accordance with the approved health guidelines and protocols.<br /><br /></p>.<p>As one team cannot do the job within a week, the ministry has decided to create four to five teams for carrying out the inspection for various zones, an official said.<br /><br />Each of these three-member teams will have one representatives each from the departments of health, civil aviation and immigration.<br /><br />The international airports to be covered include Srinagar, Amritsar, Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Goa, Calicut, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore, <br />Bengaluru, Thiruchirapalli, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati and Port Blair. The airport health centres including the isolation facilities come under the Airports Authority of India.<br /><br />But the isolation facilities of at least 12 airports are reportedly not in order.<br /><br />Union Health Minister J P Nadda who reviewed India’s preparedness on Tuesday also asked for a review of the sea-ports and enhancing the surveillance measures.</p>
