<p>Chikkamagaluru: Anasuya Devi Sankirthana Yatra was organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal in Chikkamagaluru on Thursday, on the occasion of Anasuya Jayanthi.</p><p>The Sankirthana Yatra commenced on foot from the premises of the Bolarameshwara Temple, passing through IG Road and Ratnagiri Road's Shriram Temple, and reached the Kamadhenu Ganapati Temple.</p>.Karnataka HC aghast at lack of fines for illegal hoardings in public places.<p>Over a thousand women participated wearing saffron shawls around their necks and holding portraits of Anasuya Devi. Legislative Council member C T Ravi was also present. Subsequently, they proceeded by vehicles to the Sri Guru Dattatreya Bababudangiri Swami Dargah, where they performed Anasuya Devi Puja, Ganapati Puja, Durga Homa, and Kalashabhisheka.</p><p>Despite light rain and cold weather, they continued in sequence to have a darshan of Datta Paduke.</p><p>Police provided tight security throughout the Sankirthana Yatra. A procession is scheduled for Friday, and on Saturday where devotees will visit the Shri Guru Dattatreya Bababudangiri Swami Dargah, to have a glimpse of ‘Datta Paduke’.</p>
