<p>Belagavi: A woman, who complained of chest pain a day after delivering a baby girl on Saturday, died at the district hospital (BIMS) on Sunday. The relatives of the lactating woman have accused the doctors of causing her death due to medical negligence.</p>.<p>Vaishali Kotabagi, a native of Goudawada village in Hukkeri taluk, is the victim.</p>.Ballari maternal deaths: Victims were administered solution from unauthorised batch, indicates probe.<p>"We had admitted Vaishali to the labour ward at the district hospital on Saturday. She delivered a baby girl through C-section. Her condition was stable till 7 am on Sunday. After which, Vaishali complained of chest pain. She was rushed to the ICU after her condition worsened. Timely intervention by doctors could have saved her life," complained Eravva, mother-in-law of Vaishali.</p>.<p>Meanwhile, BIMS director Dr Ashok Kumar Shetty told <em>DH</em>, "Vaishali's condition was stable till Sunday morning. The duty doctors treated her for chest pain. They tried their best to save her. But Vaishali died of heart-related ailments."</p>.<p>He said, "Following the complaint by the relatives of the patient, I have ordered an enquiry. I will initiate disciplinary action against the doctors concerned, if found guilty of medical negligence."</p>
