Ashwath remains stable

The chairperson of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) Jayamala, who visited Ashwath at the hospital handed over a cheque for Rs one lakh towards the treatment expenses. Secretary of Kannada and Culture Department B R Jayaramaraje Urs who also called on the octogenarian actor conveyed that the State government has promised to meet the medical expenditure.

Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, journalist Patil Puttappa, Prof Kalegowda Nagawara and film producer Sa Ra Govindu visited him at the hospital, while MLA and Parliamentary Secretary to CM S A Ramdas and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda enquired about his health over phone. Deve Gowda has promised help if the situation warrants, said Shankar Ashwath.
