Ayudha pooja held

Pooja was offered in every house, shops, workshops, commercial buildings, industries and offices. Vehicles were decorated. As part of the Ayudha pooja, a competition of decorating vehicles were held at Gandhi maidan.

The decorated vehicles took out a procession in the mainstreets of the town.
MLC M C Nanaiah said Dasara is celebrated by all irrespective of caste and religion. It spreads the message of unity.

MLC S G Medappa said government has been supporting the cause of culture in the state.
District BJP President M P Sunil Subramani said “Dasara festival has its own history in Madikeri.”
