<p>The winter session of the legislature will be held in Belgaum during the third week of November or the first week of December, Law Minister T B Jayachandra said on Saturday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to reporters in Bangalore, Jayachandra brushed aside charges made by the Opposition BJP and JD(S) that the government was in two-minds on holding the session in Belgaum fearing a backlash from sugarcane growers (who have not been paid their dues) of the district.<br /><br />He said Legislative Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa had written to the government that the winter session be held for 17 days. The Cabinet will take a final decision on the issue, he said.</p>
