2 city colleges make it to eco marathon

 RV College of Engineering and Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology fro Bengaluru are among the teams to have made it to the finals of the Shell Eco Marathon (SEM).

Student teams across the world have to design, build, test and drive energy efficient vehicles that can cover longest distance with the least amount of fuel. Fifteen Indian student teams have been selected from across the country to participate in the finals of the SEM.

The SEM, which is being held as part of the ‘Make the Future Festival’ in Singapore, from March 16 to 19, 2017  invites student teams across the world to design, build, test and drive energy efficient vehicles that can cover longest distance with the least amount of fuel. Currently, the competition is in its eighth edition.

The third and final phase of this competition will run till February 14, 2017, where student teams will share information on the logistics of their prototype in addition to details of travel and accommodation.
