27-year-old biker killed in hit-and-run in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A goods truck crashed into a two-wheeler in the early hours of Monday, killing a 27-year-old man in a hit-and-run incident.

The accident occurred around 12.50 am near ITI Junction in Gandhinagar. The truck driver was reportedly driving negligently and recklessly, leading to the collision.

Instead of stopping to provide medical assistance, the driver fled the scene, leaving the rider, identified as Vishakh SH, critically injured. Vishakh was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital, having sustained severe internal injuries.

The Upparpet traffic police have traced the registration details of the truck and registered a case against the driver.
