<p>Bengaluru: With the metro work on Bannerghatta Road nearing completion, the BBMP has decided to develop the pedestrian pathway along the stretch into a 'model walkway'. </p>.<p>BBMP Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao issued an order to this effect on Tuesday after inspecting the stretch with a team of zonal engineers. </p>.NGO opposes widening of road in Bannerghatta National Park.<p>He emphasised that footpaths along this route must be constructed uniformly and transformed into model walkways. </p>.<p>The engineers were asked to fix the damaged slabs and kerb stones during the inspection, which covered a total of 5.5 km from Dairy Circle to the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) campus. </p>
