<p>Bengaluru: The Ministry of <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/railways">Railways</a> has declared the new railway line from Bettahalasuru to Rajanukunte a 'Special Railway Project'. </p>.<p>A notification released by the ministry on January 3 stated that the project was aimed at provide national infrastructure for a public purpose. </p>.<p>This will be a 6.14-km single line in northeastern Bengaluru to ease congestion between KSR Bengaluru and Yelahanka railway junctions. It is estimated to cost Rs 248 crore, according to an official in the South Western Railway's Bengaluru division. </p>.Railway Protection Force training center to be established in KR Nagar, Mysuru : Kumaraswamy.<p>However, land acquisition is yet to begin for this project, the official added. The deadline also remains unknown. </p>.<p>KN Krishna Prasad of the Karnataka Railway Vedike said the new railway line would mainly help in the faster movements of goods trains. </p>.<p>For example, container trains carrying automobiles from Penukonda, Andhra Pradesh, can go to Chennai without touching and congesting Yelahanka Junction. These goods trains can proceed towards Bangarpet via Rajanukunte, Bettahalasuru, Devanahalli, Chikkaballapur and Kolar, he explained. </p>
