It is time to pull out your warm clothes and raincoats as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more rain.

The city received 7.2 mm rainfall up to 5.30 pm on Wednesday while HAL and Kempegowda International Airport received 4.6 mm and 6.6 mm rainfall.

IMD-Bengaluru director (in-charge) Geeta Agnihotri said there was no system formation and the rainfall is because of active southwest monsoon. Over the last two days, there was no rain. But the temperature was near normal because of the cloud cover and strong winds.

The IMD has forecast heavy rain over isolated places of coastal Karnataka, Ghat areas and hilly regions of south interior Karnataka. They have also forecast intermittent rain in the city for the next 48 hours.
