In the company of family

US-based actor Ihana Dhillon will soon be seen on the big screen in 'Hate Story 4'. A  known face in the Punjabi film industry and the modelling world, Dhillon started her career  in acting with the Punjabi film 'Daddy Cool Munde Fool'. She has also charmed the  audience with her performance in other movies like 'Tiger' and 'Thug Life'. 'Hate Story 4'  is directed by Vishal Pandya and is set to release on March 9.

"Spending time with family is the main thing I do whenever I  get a long weekend. Since I am always on the move for work, giving enough and more time to my family is important  for me.  I am not an outgoing person so for me relaxing at home and doing yoga or catching up with close friends for dinner is what makes for a perfect weekend. Watching the latest movies that I may have missed out on is another way I like to spend my  time.

I read a lot and therefore I find weekends the best time to indulge in my favourite novels. I love long drives too. In fact, when I am in Mumbai, my friends and I usually  head to Lonavala for a day's trip and come back. The time spent away from the hustle bustle of the city life  proves to be quite relaxing and rejuvenating. The road to Lonavala is a beautiful drive, especially when it is raining; it's just perfect then. I feel hill stations automatically calm one down. Goa is another place I  visit frequently.  I love beaches and the sound of the sea. While there, I generally go for a massage and then lie down on the beach. These two places are my perfect weekend getaways.  

Fitness is a huge part of my life. Be it a weekend or weekday, I am very consistent when it comes to working out. However, I also have one cheat day, which I call as a sweet  tooth day. This is because more than indulging in junk food, I love to relish sweet dishes. After an entire week of heavy workouts and controlling my diet, I at least deserve to treat myself once a week.  

Most weekends, my friends and I plan an evening at home and watch a movie on Netflix and order some good food. Nothing can beat the time spent in the comfort of home, in the company of great friends. We get only the weekends to spend with each other as other days we are just busy working and travelling for work.  

I am a coffee person. Whenever I get time, exploring a new cafe is always on my list. Sipping on perfectly brewed coffee and chilling with loved ones is something I enjoy doing.

I love sketching but because of my busy  routine, I generally don't get enough time to pursue it. During weekends I make sure I sketch  something and make time for what I am passionate about.  Being indoors as much as I can, and taking out time for every little thing that I otherwise can't over the week gives me a lot of pleasure and this is the perfect way to end my weekend."
