<p>Bengaluru: A 52-year-old man was arrested on Friday for murdering his mother in North Bengaluru for refusing to give him money for drinking. </p>.<p>The deceased has been identified as Shantha Bai (82), a resident of Muneshwara Nagar in Bagalagunte. The police have arrested her son Dharmendra Kumar based on a complaint filed by his sister and the daughter of the deceased. </p>.Three held for swindling Rs 1.3 crore of frozen money from ICICI bank using fake govt email ID, court orders .<p>Saidulu Adavath, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said that they had received a call around 1.30 am from Shantha’s daughter about the murder. When the police reached the location, she was found in a pool of blood with fatal head injuries. </p>.<p>Investigations revealed that Kumar had been living with his mother for the last three years and taking money from her for drinking. On Thursday night, when she refused him money, he hit her with an iron rod, leading to her death. </p>
