Man attempts suicide at Bengaluru's Majestic metro station

Bengaluru: A man attempted suicide by jumping in front of an approaching metro train at the Nadaprabhu Kemepegowda station in Majestic on Saturday afternoon.

The passenger jumped off platform 3 on the Green Line running between Madavara and Silk Institute at 3:17 pm. The on ground BMRCL staff immediately turned off the power supply and rushed to his rescue.

The passenger was shifted and moved to Victoria hospital.

During this period, trains were operating only between Madhavara and Rajajinagar and National College to Silk Institute metro stations on the Green line.

Regular Metro operations on the green line resumed at 3:47 pm.
