Minor detained following quarrel, assault in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A minor was detained by the Chandra Layout in Bengaluru police following a quarrel that allegedly led to an assault on January 26, the police said on Tuesday.

A case was registered following a complaint by Prabuddha M, a resident of Nagarabhavi. Prabuddha, 23, alleged that around seven people had attacked him and vandalised his car.

A preliminary probe found that Prabuddha and three of his friends had quarrelled with two others, which led to the intervention of the other suspects before the alleged assault. “A minor has been detained in the case,” a police officer said. “Further probe is underway.”
