<p>Bengaluru: Bengaluru city police commissioner B. Dayananda, who also holds the gun licensing authority, has issued an order temporarily suspending murder-accused <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/darshan-thoogudeepa">Darshan Thoogudeepa</a>’s gun license, police sources said on Tuesday.</p><p>Dayananda said in a media briefing that a notice had been served on the Kannada actor by the police for cancellation of his arms license, and he had responded to it. Following his response, the commissioner temporarily suspended his arms license. However, Darshan’s response to the notice has not been disclosed. </p>.'Darshan has not met us after his release on bail': Renukaswamy's father.<p>A police source said that the RR Nagar police last month sent a request to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration), seeking cancellation of Darshan’s firearm license. </p><p>The request came after the High Court of Karnataka <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/karnataka/renukaswamy-murder-case-darshan-pavithra-gowda-all-accused-get-bail-from-karnataka-high-court-3316412">granted bail</a> to the actor in the Renukaswamy murder case.</p><p>According to the police, since Darshan is out on bail, there are chances that he may threaten witnesses using the firearm. Accordingly, the notice was issued for the safe deposit of the weapon. </p><p>Darshan, his close friend Pavithra Gowda, and 15 others are chargesheeted in the murder case of a 34-year-old Chitradurga resident, Renukaswamy. The accused were arrested by the Kamakshipalya police between June 9 and June 11.</p>
