US lawmakers extend support to Umar Khalid, other jailed student activists

Eight lawmakers of the US government wrote a letter to the Indian Ambassador calling for a fair trial for Umar Khalid and other jailed student leaders. Umar Khalid, Gulfisha Fatima and Sharjeel Imam are in jail for five years. They are charged with offences under UAPA, in connection to their role in the 2020 Delhi riots.
