Ola rolls out free wifi in autos; will help build easy access

Ola is offering free wifi in autorikshaws. Free wifi was first launched in Ola Prime cabs last year with customers getting free internet once the ride starts. After a one-time authentication, riders can get wifi on their next trips with just a touch on the Ola App.

In a statement, Ola senior director Siddharth Agrawal said, "We are reinventing the three-wheeler and enabling a connected experience for our customers...We want to not only improve the quality of time spent while on the road, but also help build easy access to millions of users across the country."

The free internet facility is delivered through the auto drivers switching on their wifi hotspot which is automatically connected through Ola App. "The facility will be rolled out in all the autorickshaws attached to Ola in a phased manner," sources in Ola said.
