<p>City-based Sukoon Events is bringing National Award-winning actor and theatre director Sourabh Shukla’s play ‘Barf’ to Bengaluru this weekend. </p>.<p>Shukla plays a doctor who is in picturesque Srinagar for a conference. There, he meets a shikarawala (a boatman) who pleads with him to treat his ailing child. After much persuasion, the doctor agrees and goes to the shikarawala’s house only to find a doll, instead of a child, says Varun Gupta, founder, Sukoon Events. </p>.<p class="bodytext">“The play raises questions like does truth lead to belief or is it belief that constructs the truth?” adds Gupta. </p>.Dance performance in Bengaluru to support children in Gaza.<p class="bodytext">Gupta says the play is set in winter in Kashmir. “It’s set in the region to portray how difficult life is there. However, there are no references to the political unrest of the region,” <br />he says. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The 90-minute play premiered in 2016 and has been staged more than 150 times so far.
