The suspects are Kevin Otubu (35) from Logos Benin Chies and Nafiu Ilquman (24) from Oshogbo. The prime suspect Jack is absconding in Delhi.
Recently, Jack called up Akram Pasha of Shivajinagar and claimed he had won 10 lakh UK pounds. Pasha was asked to deposit Rs 8.15 lakh in a specified bank account. He deposited the money, thinking he would get more money soon. Jack contacted him after a few days and asked him to deposit Rs 25 lakh more to get RBI clearance. Suspecting a fraud, Pasha lodged a police complaint.
He then told the duo to come to Shivajinagar to collect the money, where the police arrested them.
