Bishops to flood victims' aid

The meeting of the bishops, along with heads of different non governmental organisations, has been convened at the Bishops’ House, Camp, Belgaum. 
                                                                 
"We will take up some concrete measures to help flood victims. Already, Church authorities have sent a circular to churches and institutions under their charge to donate generously in the form of cash, clothes, grains utensils and other materials,” Belgaum Bishop  Peter Machado said.

Archbishop of Bangalore Bernard Moras is expected to chair the meeting attended by Bishop Peter Machado (Belgaum), Bishop Derek Fernandes (Karwar), Bishop Henry D'Souza (Bellary), Bishop Robert Miranda (Gulbarga), Bishop Gerald Lobo (Shimoga).

Representatives of Caritas India and other aid agencies are also expected to attend the meeting.
