<p>Bengaluru: Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has submitted its feasibility report on extending Namma Metro to connect Bengaluru and Tumakuru to the state government.</p>.<p>The proposed 59.5-km metro line along Tumakuru Road will have at least 25 elevated stations, with stops at key locations such as Nelamangala, Weaver’s Colony, Budihal, T Begur, Sompura Industrial Area, Dobbspet, Kyathsandra, Tumakuru bus stand, TUDA Layout, and Sira Gate—connecting Madavara (the last station on the Green Line) to Tumakuru.</p>.<p>The Hyderabad-based consultancy firm that prepared the study examined both the technical and financial feasibility of the project. The line is likely to be developed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The report will soon be placed before the Cabinet for approval, after which a Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared and submitted to the Centre.</p>.<p>Bengaluru Central MP P C Mohan alleged that the metro to nearby cities was an attempt to boost real estate prices.</p>.Namma Metro receives third trainset for Yellow Line .<p>“Suburban rail to Tumakuru costs Rs 100-Rs150 cr/km; metro costs Rs 350Cr/km.
