'Change inevitable in printing industry'

He was speaking at a programme organised by the Hassan District Printers Association here to mark ‘Printers Day’.

Speaking on the occasion MLA H S Prakash said that with modernisation and growth of technology, the effectiveness of printers has reduced. All classes of people, should surge forward by integrating their lives with modernisation.

Janapada Parishat District Unit President H B Madanagowda said that the printing industry started by Christian Missionaries  has been an immense contribution to the life of many people. Without the printing industry, it would have been impossible to spread literacy among people, he added.

City Municipal Council President C R Shankar, Kannada Sahitya Parishat District Unit President Udayaravi, Printers Association President Gopalakrishna Shetty and others were present.
