Chief minister to dedicate KC Valley project on June 7

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will formally dedicate Koramangala-Challaghatta Valley, (KC Valley) project on June 7.

The project aims to fill the tanks in Kolar district and Chintamani taluk of Chikkaballapur district with treated sewage water from Koramangala and Challaghatta valley in Bengaluru. As per the initial plan, the Rs 1,280-crore project, which began in 2016, should have been completed by August 15, 2017.

The sewage would be flowed to Bellandur tank from where it would be released to Narasapur (near Kolar) in the first phase. Water flowed into Lakshmisagara lake in Kolar taluk on Saturday. At present, 100 MLD water is flowing into the lake which will be increased to 400 MLD.
