<p>Chikkaballapur: In a major development within the Congress party, several senior leaders from the Chikkaballapur Assembly constituency have submitted a three-page complaint to KPCC President D K Shivakumar and Working President G C Chandrashekhar, alleging that MLA Pradeep Eshwar’s approach is causing a severe setback for the party in the constituency.</p><p>The complaint, signed by former MLAs, ex-ZP members, former district and block Congress presidents, and DCC bank directors, expresses deep dissatisfaction over the MLA’s functioning and calls for the appointment of a KPCC observer to monitor the constituency’s political situation.</p><p>They alleged that since his election victory, Pradeep Eshwar has reportedly distanced himself from party leaders and workers and avoids attending party programmes. He did not even participate or take any responsibility in key local elections, including those for the City Municipal Council president and vice-president, PLD Bank, TAPCMS, and DCC Bank, where Congress candidates suffered defeats. Individuals who did not work for the party have been appointed to key positions, such as Block Congress President, while those responsible for former minister K Sudhakar’s defeat were ignored.</p><p>“When these concerns were brought to the attention of District In-charge Minister M C Sudhakar, it is claimed that Pradeep Eshwar responded arrogantly, saying he doesn’t care about what someone says,” they said.</p><p><strong>Demands</strong></p><p>The leaders have urged KPCC leadership to appoint an official observer for Chikkaballapur constituency, to form a senior leaders’ committee to assess the political climate, to cancel the previous appointments and make fresh nominations for government-nominated and Block Congress posts, and take urgent steps to rebuild the party structure in the constituency.</p><p>The complaint reflects growing unrest among Congress ranks in Chikkaballapur and could signal potential organisational changes in the near future.</p>
