<p>Former chairman of Tobacco Board India Abu Mohammed was allegedly ill-treated during the launch of e-auction of tobacco at Periyapatna on Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>A release from his followers states that he was denied equal status to share the dais along with other dignitaries like Union minister of state for commerce and industry D Purandeswari, MP A H Vishwanath, legislators among others by the organisers. They claimed that he being a senior member of the board for the past several years, has every right to claim the VIP treatment.<br /><br />According to the supporters of Abu Mohammed, it was deliberate ignorance by the organisers even after their leader sent a chit in English to the authorities concerned on the dais.</p>
