<p>Amid rumours that the government might dilute the controversial Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (Amendment) Bill, 2017, a copy of another draft with certain changes has been leaked, creating a flutter.</p>.<p>The leaked version of the latest draft makes no mention of the contentious imprisonment clause, which has been strongly opposed by representatives of private hospitals.</p>.<p>The leaked version has many insertions, where provisions pertaining to permissions, renewal of registration, inspection, grievance redressal, repayment of balance amount by patients have been tweaked.</p>.<p>When contacted, officials of the Health and Family Welfare department did not confirm if there was any new draft.</p>
