The Harangi reservoir can store a maximum of 8.5 tmc ft of water and its maximum level is 2859 ft. The reservoir recorded a water level of 2843.82 ft on Tuesday, where as on Monday it recorded 2843.52 ft of water. However, due to low rainfall in the past three days the inflow to the reservoir has been markedly low.
377 cusec of inflow
On Tuesday morning at 8 am there was an inflow of 377 cusec of water into the reservoir. However, no rainfall was recorded in the catchment area until 8 am on Tuesday.
Last year by this time the water level at Harangi reservoir was 2811.76 ft.
The water level is 32.06 ft more than last year. Farmers in the command area are delighted as more water has been stored in Harangi and Chiklihole dams this year.
