Sharada Naturopathy Hospital inauguration

The full-fledged Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital and Research Centre will be inaugurated at Sharada Ayurdhama campus, Devinagara, Talapady, at 3.30 pm on Sunday.

MAHE former vice-chancellor Dr B M Hegde will inaugurate the centre. KMC Mangaluru former principal Dr K R Shetty will be the chief guest. Tulunadu Educational Trust chairman Prof M B Puranik will preside over the function.

Addressing media persons at Sharada Ayurdhama premises at Talapady, Prof M B Puranik said Tulunadu Educational Trust has taken a new initiative to develop a full-fledged Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital and Research Centre (SYNH). “The objective of the centre is to facilitate people to improve their health by rejuvenating body and re-fabricating their lifestyle,” he added.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Rajesh Padekal said that the hospital is situated on a clean and green environment. The 100-bed hospital has outpatient and in-patient departments, air-conditioned rooms, non-AC rooms and
a general ward.

Therapies like massage, Hydrotherapy, Yoga, Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Acupressure, Magnetotherapy, Diet are provided in the centre to cure Anemia, Acid peptic disease, Bronchial Asthma, Allergy, Anxiety Neurosis, Bell’s Palsy, Back pain, Cervical Spondylosis, Diabetes Mellitus, Dermatitis, Depression, Eczema, Frozen Shoulder, Gastritis, Gout, Gall Stones, High Blood Pressure, Hypo-Hyper tension, Intervertebral Disc Prolepses, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Impotency and Infertility, insomnia, Joint pain, Lumber Spondylosis, Menopausal Symptoms, Migraine Head Ache, Obesity, Osteoarthritis, Paralysis and other ailments, he said.

He said that preparations are on for establishing an Ayurveda Medical College on the campus and the admissions will be done for the first batch of 2019-20, after the NEET examination results. The classes will begin tentatively from September. BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) and BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) courses will be offered to students. The institution has applied for NABH accreditation, he added.
