Male Mahadeshwara fair to begin on March 15

The annual fair of Male Mahadeshwara Temple on Maletirike betta will be held between March 15 and 20, said temple committee chairman Koluvanda Cariappa.

Addressing reporters on Friday, he said that the ‘Bhandara’ procession will be taken out from Kundira house at 4 pm on March 15, followed by religious rituals. Prasadam meals will be served after Mahapuja at 8 pm.

A special puja will be held at Nagadevara Temple on March 16 and 17. ‘Nerupu’ and ‘Etth Porata’ will be held on March 18.

‘Mahapuja Seve’ and ‘Avamritha Snana’ will be held on March 19. Mahapuja and mass meals will be held on March 20.

Joint secretary Chokanda M Ramesh said that a bus transport facility has been made for the devotees from Kodagu Institute of Dental Sciences at Maggala.

Temple trust chairman Vaterira Shankari Poovaiah and secretary Bollachanda Prakash were present.
