<p>Bengaluru: The state government on Thursday appointed senior <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/ifs">IFS</a> officer Meenakshi Negi as the first woman head of Forest Dept.</p>.<p>In an order, the government said that Meenakshi Negi, a 1989 batch officer, would take over as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force) with immediate effect. She is expected to take charge on Friday.</p>
