Pratap Simha questions Congress leaders on silence over heinous crimes in Mysuru

Mysuru:  Former MP Pratap Simha asked why are all those who widely comment on something happening on foreign land, such as Ukraine or Gaza, now keeping mum on a minor girl’s kidnap, rape and murder in Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s home town of Mysuru.

Speaking to media persons in Mysuru on Friday, Simha pointed at the murder of a financier by a gang on Tuesday and the kidnap, rape and murder of a minor girl on Thursday, near Mysuru Dasara Exhibition Grounds.

“What is happening in Mysuru? Murders are happening one after the another at the same place. Why has no one from the government spoken about the heinous crimes? Why are the CM and DCM D K Shivakumar not speaking? There are loudmouths (koogu maarigalu) in Karnataka government - Priyank Kharge, Santosh Lad, and the one from Chikkaballapur. They comment on Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Palestine and Donald Trump. But, why don’t they talk about the Mysuru crimes?” Simha asked.

“What purpose is Siddaramaiah, a native of Mysuru, serving as CM? The Police are being used only to provide him security, when he drinks coffee at Nalapak, eats Mylari dose or snacks at Mysuru Refreshments. H C Mahadevappa, who is always beside the CM, is just making people read out the Preamble of the Constitution. Why is no one raising their voice for the victims of the Banjara community? The CM has no conscience. His heart has turned into rock,” Simha said.
