The High Court of Karnataka has asked the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) to pass orders, reserved by it, on the petition filed by IAS officer and former Mysuru Deputy Commissioner B Sharat.

In his Original Application (OA) before the CAT bench, Sharat had challenged the order dated September 28, 2020, transferring him from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru district. The state government had replaced him by posting IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri in his place.

The CAT bench heard the matter finally and reserved it for orders on December 22, 2020. Sharat contended that as per Rule 105 of the Central Administrative Tribunal Rules of Practice, 1993, in matters posted for orders, date of pronouncement shall be fixed within three weeks.

A division bench headed by Justice Satish Chandra Sharma disposed of the petition and requested the CAT to take a decision, at the earliest, within two weeks of receipt of copy of high court order.
