<p>Chief Minister <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/karnataka/bengaluru/chinnaswamy-stampede-siddaramaiah-defends-suspension-of-police-commissioner-officers-3574309">Siddaramaiah</a> said he would give only a zero to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Union government on a scale of 10.</p><p>Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, Siddaramaiah on Monday (June 9) said, “It has been 11 years since Modi came to power. His government depends only on propaganda and exists only on the power of publicity”.</p><p>In the wake of the BJP-led NDA government completing 11 years in power at the Centre, Siddaramaiah asked, “Who benefited from the demonetisation of higher denomination currency notes? He marketed the dream of 'Achhe Din' (good days) among the people, to win elections and come to power. But, are there any beneficiaries of 'Achhe Din'? He promised to create two crore jobs for the youth every year. But, did the youths get any jobs? He made several promises. But, has not fulfilled a single one”.</p>.Family affair? Modi and his party leaders stated that the Karnataka State would go bankrupt due to our guarantee schemes. But, the BJP itself copied our schemes in various states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi”.</p><p>Criticising the economic policies of Modi, Siddaramaiah said, "When Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he criticised the late prime minister Manmohan Singh and had said that he would revolutionalise tax collection. But, what did he do, after becoming Prime Minister himself? He has done injustice to many states, including Karnataka, by not releasing the entitled funds. He promised funds under the 14th Finance Commission. But, did he give it to Karnataka?”</p> .BJP holds protest, seeks resignation of CM and Deputy CM over RCB stampede.<p>Siddaramaiah also took a jab at the state unit of the BJP. He said, "The Karnataka state BJP doesn't ask relevant questions to the Centre. On the contrary, the BJP leaders spread false propaganda about the State government”.</p>
