Residents stage empty pot protest

Led by locals H B Venkatesh, Gandhinagar’s Narayanswamy and Nagaraj, the residents gathered at 9 am and staged the protest. 

CMC commissioner Rai, revenue officers and engineers visited the spot. The residents had arguments with them and urged them to immediately visit the wards.

The residents were up-in-arms against the CMC members V K Venkatesh and Somashekar who also visited the spot. Even though they were informed about the problems, the members had ignored them, charged the protesters.

Bowing to the pressure of the residents, the officials went round the wards and promised to take necessary action.
