School kids form chain to promote Sammelana

Mysuru: In view of popularising the 83rd All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, scheduled to be held from November 24 to 26 in Mysuru, as many as 2,000 school children, formed a chain of Kannada alphabets to form two sentences '83rd Kannada Sahitya Sammellana Mysuru' and 'Sri Ramayana Darshanam-50', in front of Mysuru Palace, on Monday.

The children, holding placards with red and yellow colours, representing the Kannada flag, formed the sentences. Artiste Baadal Nanjundaswami, waiving the Kannada flag, stood in between the sentences. The four minutes event was videographed to be uploaded on social media.

Deputy Commissioner DRandeep flagged off the event, Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP) district president Dr YDRajanna and former president M Chandrashekar were present.
