Jain seer Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamy, who has successfully conducted Bahubali's Mahamastakabhisheka, was conferred with the 'Yugapurusha' award, at a programme, here, recently. The award is presented by Tapobhoomi Parivar of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

Speaking on the occasion, Prajnasagara Maharaj, a disciple of the seer, said, "The credit of conducting the festival successfully four times, goes to the seer. It is not an easy task to organise the festival, which is held once in 12 years."

Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamy said, "I have worked like any other person for the festival. Hence, I am not a 'Yugapurusha' but a 'Lagupurusha'. The award should be dedicated to Shravanabelagola," he said.
