<p>Thiruvananthapuram: An 18-year-old girl died in Kerala reportedly following extreme unscientific dieting.</p><p>Sreenanada hailing from Koothuparamaba in Kannur died on Saturday after undergoing treatment for weak health. </p><p>She was found to be suffering from Anorexia Nervosa, an eating disorder related to concerns over gaining weight.</p>.NGT pulls up authorities over "unscientific deconcretisation".<p>According to reports quoting the doctors who treated her, she was surviving mostly on water and liquid food over the last six months. </p><p>As a result her health weakened. She was learnt to be following the diet based on unscientific advice through YouTube.</p><p>Though doctors had earlier advised psychological consultation for her, her family was learnt to have ignored it. As a result her condition worsened.</p><p>Sreenandan was a first year undergraduate student at the Pazhassi Raja NSS college at Mattanur in Kannur. She left behind father, mother and brother.</p>
