<p>Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala's Thrissur is geared up for the famed 'Thrissur Pooram' festival of the Vadakkunnathan temple from Tuesday to Wednesday.</p><p>Percussion performance by eminent artists will mark the beginning of the events on Tuesday. It also triggered a serious political row with allegations from within the left front that a section of police officials disrupted the pooram to give BJP advantage in the Lok Sabha election and thereby open an account from Kerala.</p> .<p>Fresh regulations prescribed by the Kerala High Court in parading elephants and new guidelines of Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation posed a threat to the smooth conduct of 'Thrissur Pooram'. While the Supreme Court stayed the regulations prescribed by the HC, a permission given by the court for conducting the fireworks as part of Vela festival of Paramekavu is being used for conducting the Thrissur pooram firework also.</p>
