<p>Mumbai: The financial capital of Mumbai and its suburbs received heavy overnight rainfall coinciding with Krishna Janmashtmi festivities on Saturday leading to water logging at several places.</p><p>According to the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation, Mumbai received over 100 mm rainfall from 0800 hrs of Friday till 0400 hrs of Saturday.</p><p>While Mumbai City received 99.61 mm rainfall, the Eastern Suburbs and Western Suburbs received 142.80 mm and 144.57 mm rainfall, respectively.</p> .<p>The Mumbai metropolitan region districts of Palghar, Thane and Raigad also received massive rainfall.</p><p>Private airliners - Spice Jet and IndiGo has issues advisories about possible delays in arrivals/departures from the Chhattisgarh Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.</p><p>There is no impact yet on Mumbai's suburban train movement.</p> .<p>In it's forecast, the IMD's Regional Meteorological Observatory said: "Widespread rainfall activity with heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with isolated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over Konkan and adjoining ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during the period 15-20 August 2025".</p><p>A red alert has been sounded for Raigad district Mumbai and Thane are under orange alert.</p>
