<p>The police said the encounter at Kaimur hills in Rohtas district had ended this evening while the other encounter was going on at Darmaha in Kesharia of East Champaran district.<br />"The ultras retreated in the dense forests after 3-hour-long encounter between Maoists and security forces," Superintendent of Police (SP) Manu Maharaj said.<br /><br />There has been no casualty from either side, he said, adding the security forces arrested two suspected Maoists from Kakudih area near Kaimur.<br /><br />Earlier in the day, the security forces had launched a combing operation in the Kaimur hills to flush out the heavily-armed Maoist guerrillas who fired upon the advancing security personnel, Maharaj said.<br /><br />Nearly 500 rounds were fired from both sides during the encounter, he said.<br /><br />Meanwhile, another encounter between Maoists and the security forces were going on in Darmaha village of Kesharia in Bihar's East Champaran district, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Pakridayal Koleshwar Paswan said.<br /><br />The encounter between the two sides started late afternoon as Maoists opened fire on the security forces who had launched a combing operation to nab a group of naxalites holed up in the village, he said.There was no report of any casualty or injury to any one from either side, Paswan said.</p>
