The ex-NCB officer has moved the Delhi High Court claiming the Shah Rukh Khan-backed show Bads of Bollywood defamed him through its depiction of the 2021 drugs case saga

Sameer Wankhede files defamation suit before Delhi High Court against Red Chillies Entertainment, Gauri Khan over allegedly defamatory portrayal of him in Netflix series “Ba***ds of Bollywood.”

Wankhede has demanded Rs 2 Crores as damages which is claimed to be donated to Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital. The case seeks the permanent injunction of the production house and others for the alleged "false, malicious and defamatory video" broadcasted in the series.
