<p>Hyderabad: The toll in the Sigachi Industries pharma plant explosion in Sangareddy district rose to 42, officials said.</p>.<p>Search operations continued at the blast site on Monday as authorities look for additional remains and evidence related to eight people who remain unaccounted for following the June 30 explosion.</p>.<p>Rescue teams have recovered approximately 100 mutilated body parts from the site.</p>.Old machineries, no safety measures: Sigachi plant explosion probe points to gross negligence.<p>Authorities have sent these samples, along with blood samples from relatives, to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) for DNA analysis to identify the eight missing persons.</p>.<p>The blood samples were collected on Sunday and dispatched to CFSL for testing.</p>.<p>The eight missing individuals have been identified as Rahul Kumar Sharma (Uttar Pradesh), G Venkatesh (Andhra Pradesh), S Ravi (Telangana), S Justin (Telangana), Vijay Kumar Nishad (Bihar), Akilesh Kuka Nishad (Bihar), Irfan Ansari (Jharkhand), and Shivaji Kumar (Bihar).</p>.<p>“Sigachi Industries is saddened to share the loss of two more team members since July 4, 2025, taking the death toll to 42. Of the 33 injured team members, 14 have now recovered and been discharged from the hospital, while 18 continue to be under medical attention in various hospitals in the City. Eight team members are still missing. Of the 143 members present on-site during the time of the accident, 61 are safe. Set up in 1989, Sigachi Industries’ Pashamylaram plant has been incident-free for 36 years,” said a statement from Sigachi Industries.</p>
