Giving details, a defence spokesman, Lt Col J S Brar, said the infiltrators were trying to cross into the Kashmir Valley from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The identity of the slain militants is yet to be established. Two AK rifles, six magazines, 96 rounds, three grenades, an ICOM radio set and a wire cutter have been seized from the encounter site.
