<p>Two non-local labourers from Uttar Pradesh were killed in a targeted grenade attack in Harmen area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, police said.</p>.<p>Reports said the victims were sleeping at the time of the attack at their rented accommodation in Harmain village. The slain were identified as Munish Kumar and Ram Sagar.</p>.<p>“#Terrorists lobbed hand grenade in Harmen #Shopian in which two labourers from UP namely Monish Kumar & Ram Sagar, both residents of Kanooj, UP got injured. They were shifted to hospital where they succumbed. Area cordoned off (sic),” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.</p>.<p><strong>Also Read — <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/national/north-and-central/emotional-scenes-at-cremation-of-slain-kashmiri-pandit-in-jammu-1154051.html" target="_blank">Emotional scenes at cremation of slain Kashmiri Pandit in Jammu</a></strong></p>.<p>Police said two ‘hybrid’ militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba involved in the attack were arrested. “Two hybrid militants have been arrested in connection with the grenade lobbing incident at Harmain area of Shopian late last night and hunt for others is on,” Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said.</p>.<p>While the one ‘hybrid’ militant involved in the grenade attack that killed two labourers from Uttar Pradesh, was arrested late last night, another was held Tuesday morning, he said. Hunt for other members of the group is on and soon they will be tracked down.</p>.<p>Kumar said that during the course of investigation, it was found that the main accused had lobbed the grenade at the behest of LeT commanders Danish and Abid. “Claim made by Al-Badr is fake. The fact is that Lashkar is behind the act,” the ADGP said.</p>.<p>According to police, ‘hybrid’ militants are not listed as militants, but radicalized and trained enough to carry out terror attacks and then slip back into the routine life. As most of them are teenagers and highly motivated, they do not cross the border for arms training nor do they go underground to commit violent acts.</p>
