Eight-year-old stabbed in UP's Shahjahanpur for celebrating Indian strikes on terror camps in Pakistan

Lucknow: An eight-year-old boy was stabbed by a youth on Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur town allegedly for celebrating India’s strikes (Operation Sindoor) on the terror camps inside Pakistan late on Tuesday night.

The minor, identified as Surjeet Kumar, was attacked by one Mohid Khan inside a market in the town, when the former hailed the strikes and chanted ‘Pakistan Murdabad’, according to police sources.

Reports said that Mohid and Waseem objected to the celebrations and slogans against Pakistan. The duo also reportedly chanted slogans in favour of Pakistan.

The minor hailed the strikes and said that Pakistan had been taught a good lesson.

The people, who were there, caught hold of Mohid and thrashed him before handing over to the police. Mohid’s accomplice Waseem who was also present there and supported the former, was also arrested.

The minor sustained injuries on his hands and was admitted to the hospital, where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

Police said that a case was registered in this connection and the duo had been sent to jail. The matter is being investigated.

India, on Tuesday night, launched precision strikes on several terror camps deep inside Pakistan killing scores of terrorists and destroying their bases avenging the recent killing of tourists in Pahalgam by the terrorists.
